Frequently asked questions
Got a question? We might have answered it here. If not, feel free to get in touch with The Team, we’re here to help!
How long will my print take to arrive?
Find out how quickly you can get your print by filling in your selected options in the product builder, and check out the delivery options at the bottom. You can also explore the available delivery options from your basket once you’ve added a product.
How do I set up my artwork for print?
Do you provide downloadable templates?
What paper is recommended for printing booklets?
It depends on the look and feel you're aiming for!
- Want something luxurious? Consider premium options like Tintoretto Gesso. They add a touch of elegance to your booklet.
- Looking to showcase sustainability? A recycled paper option would be perfect for demonstrating your eco-friendly values.
How do I arrange my pages for Booklet printing?
The way you arrange your pages will depend on the type of binding you choose:
- Saddle Stitch: Arrange your document as single pages in order, one after another. The first page will be your front cover, and the last page will be the back cover.
- Perfect Bound: Submit your inner pages as single pages to ensure everything is sequenced and laid out perfectly. This helps position each page correctly, so your booklet looks polished and professional when printed and bound.
How can I protect my Brochures and Booklets from damage?
To keep your product in great condition, try these tips:
- Choose a sturdy cover: Opt for durable materials and consider lamination for extra protection.
- Store smartly: Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or wear.
- Handle gently: Avoid bending or creasing to maintain their shape and alignment.
- Clean carefully: Use a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or smudges from the cover or pages.
How do I calculate my spine width?
Calculating your spine width for Perfect Bound Books is easier than you think! Simply reach out to The Team, and we’ll happily help you work it out. Once you’ve got the measurement, make sure to adjust your page dimensions to include the spine width for seamless printing and binding:
- Keep all text and artwork 5mm away from the spine to avoid cut-offs.
- If your spine is under 5mm, it’s best not to use text here for a professional look.
- Got text running across the pages? Remember, it could get lost in the spine. For every 10 pages you add, increase the non-text area by 1mm.
What's the difference between pages and leaves?
A "page" refers to one side of a sheet of paper—so when you look at both sides of a sheet, that's two pages. A "leaf," on the other hand, is a single sheet of paper, which has two pages (front and back). For example, if a book has 100 pages, it actually contains 50 leaves. The number of pages you choose in our product builder is the pages you need, not leaves, and includes 4 pages for your front and back outer and inner covers.
