Wedding Print Checklist: Before The Day

Welcome to the first of many wedding checklists you’ll be conquering!

Between choosing your venue and taste-testing every cake in a 50-mile radius (tough job, but someone’s got to do it), it’s easy to overlook the smaller details. But fear not! We’ve compiled the ultimate wedding print checklist – a guide designed to help you get prepared for all the events leading up to the big day…

1. Decide on your wedding stationery theme

Choosing a stationery theme helps if you have decided on the vibe of your wedding day. Do you lean towards trendy colour palettes, or are classic hues more your jam? Are you feeling the timeless elegance of calligraphy, or does bold, modern typography speak to your soul? Maybe you’re dreaming of whimsical illustrations or favouring a clean, minimalist look. Whatever your style, your stationery theme is the opening chapter of your wedding story, giving your guests a sneak peek into fun that awaits.

2. Order a Free Sample Pack from Printed.com

3. Announcing the news with Save The Date Cards

Guess what? It’s officially official! You’ve picked a date, and now it’s time to let your loved ones know. Save the Date Cards are like the trailer to your blockbuster wedding movie. They give your guests a a heads-up to clear their schedules for your special day. Plus, they’re a cute way to build the anticipation.

Whether you’re opting for a timeless A5 card, or jazzing it up with an arched shape, your Save The Dates can be as formal or fun as you want. Keep them short and sweet, including vital information like your names, the date and the venue. We do also recommend ordering 10% more than you need…that guest list will inevitably change!

4. Plan your stag and hen do printing

Before the big day, it’s party time! Your stag and hen do should have a vibe of its own, right? Extend your wedding theme to these pre-wedding bashes with some cool custom prints. Whether it’s a chill weekend or a wild night out, let your prints amp up the excitement.

From custom Hoodies and T-Shirts to personalised Coasters and Menus, make your celebrations extra special with details that you know the bride or groom will love.

5. Send out your Invitations

The big day is fast approaching, and it’s time to hit your guests with the main event – the Wedding Invitations. This is where your theme takes centre stage. Whether you’re going for classic elegance, boho vibes, or a quirky twist, you should aim to send these out 3-6 months before the big day.

Now is your time to build on the details from your Save The Dates. Give your guests a reminder of the date and venue, but also tie in timings, parking instructions, recommend accommodation and even a brief order of the day.

We recommended opting for double-sided print, or choosing a Folded Invite so you have enough room for those all-important details.

6. Don’t forget your RSVP Cards

RSVP’s are one of the most important details to include in your Invites! Besides helping you figure out the headcount and any plus ones, you should also be confirming allergens for the venue. If you’re building out your own playlist for the daytime or evening, you could also ask guests to recommend a song that would get them in the party mood! It’s a little less wedmin for you, and a way for your guests to feel involved.

If you don’t want to track RSVP’s physically, you could include a QR code to help organise guests via your wedding website or Google Forms. You can generate your own free QR code here.

And there you have it! We hope this wedding print checklist helps you prepare for all the events leading up to your big day. Shop our custom wedding stationery to begin ticking this checklist off…
