Meet the paper: Kraft
Welcome to Monday’s ‘Meet the Paper’ showcase! This week we’re going rustic and handmade with our all-star favourite Kraft!
What does it look and feel like?
Kraft’s smooth, earthy brown tone adds a vintage edge to any print. Much like recycled paper, it has a natural, textured appearance and an uncoated finish, which gives it a soft and tactile quality, and makes ink appear flatter. Suiting bold, dark coloured designs and retro themes thanks to its old-world vibes, Kraft paper also looks superb with lighter artwork for a softer, more feminine look.
What’s it great for?
Uncoated paper stocks like Kraft are great for stationery or postcards as it’s super easy to write on, and the rustic look of the paper is perfect for country style wedding stationery.
It’s a classic paper which goes well with ribbons, bows, strings and other accessories we commonly see customers adding to make wedding stationery extra special. We also see Kraft paired with other lighter textured papers, such as Fresco Gesso to lighten up a stationery or wedding suite – having a different paper as a wedding belly band is rather trendy. And of course it’s a great way to stand out if you want a business card with a creative and artistic flair. Plus, with White Ink now available on Kraft paper, you can get even more creative!
