Recycle Like There’s No Tomorrow
In a push to turnaround our impact on the environment, we’re expecting another year of strong interest in recycling and eco-friendly materials. More people are recognising the dangers of buying products with short life-spans and will be looking for recyclable and biodegradable options. This is one 2022 Greeting Card trend that you simply can’t ignore.

Shaking Up And Celebrating Gender

Traditional gender norms that once skewed our views on masculine and feminine narratives are (at last) being reassessed. It’s time to shake off the stereotypes, but to also celebrate gender and individuality.
With special occasions such as Valentines Day, Father’s Day and Mothers Day being the perfect place to start. We’ll see a move away from stereotypes, with a focus on more diverse and celebratory designs.

Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2022 has been announced as Very Peri (no, this isn’t a new Nando’s sauce). A fusion of blue and violet red, Pantone describe it as representing ‘carefree confidence and daring curiosity’. Interestingly for the first time ever, Pantone has created a brand new tone for 2022, marking new beginnings.
Being well-suited to an array of textures and finishes, this warm and whimsical shade is the perfect colour to incorporate into your Greeting Card designs. People are really finding any excuse to party, so think outside the box. What about a card to celebrate a breakup? That may seem strange, but some relationships REALLY aren’t worth crying over.
