Getting inspired at the GBEA National Final
Discover all the glitz, glamour and print from the GBEA National Final!
Here at Printed.com, we’re on a mission to help and encourage entrepreneurs to thrive and grow. With innovative technology, specialised services and cost-effective business print solutions, we’ve got the tools you need to succeed. That’s why this year, we’re proud to support the Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA).
From chatting to various judges, to discovering a whole host of amazing businesses that were nominated, GBEA has certainly inspired us in more ways than one- and getting to attend the Grand Final at Canada Water was the cherry on top of an already very exciting cake.
Let’s give you the run down…
Snap a picture
The first thing we did was set up our own space.
Not only did we set up our own business-inspired backdrop so people could capture a memorable picture from the event, but by doing so, they could also enter our competition to win £200 worth of print!
We used Self-Adhesive Vinyl for our wall and a Roller Banner to advertise the content so even those standing in the back could see what we were up to and came over. (The sweets we had at the adjacent table probably helped a little as well).
Not only did the print look great when illuminated under the bright lights of the event, but it was simple to put up and dismantle at the end of the awards.
A well-dressed awards space
The rest of the space was certainly a sight to behold as well.
Aside from the mini-golf near the bar and the Mini Coopers dotted everywhere, the awards ceremony was a great example of how to use print to tie a space together. The event was black-tie but frankly, some of us felt a little underdressed compared to the decorations.
From the Table Talkers carefully placed around the space to the Strut Cards by the entrance, to the Programmes printed by us on the tables- every piece of print was just as well dressed as the guests and so really helped add an air of sophistication and glamour to the whole event.
The awards
Then came the awards themselves.
The awards celebrate businesses of all sizes and turnovers, so choosing finalists was a challenging process. There were originally 630 different finalists competing in 13 categories, so those we saw at the final has already achieved something amazing by simply being there.
So, of course, we’re going to give a quick shoutout to the winners.
