Friday’s Favourites
To celebrate the launch of pastel paper stocks on greeting cards, we’ve dedicated this week’s customer creations blog to our gorgeous greeting card designers. And with cellophane bags now also available for greeting cards, perfect for those customers selling their prints for retail, you can package up cards with a real professional panache. So take inspiration from our customers, and get creating!
Wedding stationer and greeting card designs come naturally to Suzy, who loves doodling, baking, tea drinking and cake eating – our type of girl! Her hen do cards are bestsellers on her online store, and while it blows her mind to see how popular they are, we can sure see why they’re flying off those metaphorical online shelves!
And the award for most cute yet slightly disgusting greeting card hands down goes to Illustrator Heidi Burton. In fact these little boogers are so popular Heidi keeps having to reorder more prints from us because she keeps selling out. She also designs some rather swish ceramics, journals and other gifts if green goo doesn’t do it for you.
Be a flamingo in a flock of seagulls is a life motto we should all live by. Luckily for us all, Blackpool based Lauren, a graphic designer and illustrator, has a series of six cards coming out soon through her brand The Crafty Badger. Fab name!
Wedding stationer and greeting card guru Emma Fisher designs some fabulous kitsch cards under her brand Blush & Blossom. The very on trend flamingo has made an appearance, following in the footsteps of avocados, unicorns, cactuses and more. Basically if Emma designs it, you know it’s ‘en vogue’.
Eleanor’s mixed ranunculi and forget me nots cards are the perfect sentiment this summer. Her cards have just been stocked at London based Love Art in Tooting Market and Eleanor is typically inspired by myths, her surroundings and even Renaissance paintings. She’s worked with some big cheese brands as well – she’s well worth a follow.
Mid Wales based Nia is a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer, and she’s just finished these purrrfect cat cards printed on our 100% recycled paper stock. They’re just so charming and cute as a button, like all Nia’s work.
Matt Dickinson
Matt, a professional wedding photographer and book printer from Lancashire, has been trying his hand at custom made invitations, and we love this St Ives number with the contrasting colours. A talented gent!
The lovely Elle runs Nutmeg and Arlo from North Yorkshire and specialises in cute pins, patches and prints. While her work is always super cute, we do adore this rather magical card too. She absolutely loves creating things to make others smile and is mum to a little toddler and a cat too. How do you fit it all in Elle?!
