Introducing the winners of our Big Proudly Printed competition
We recently gave our customers the opportunity to win £500 in print, plus an exclusive tour of our factory in Northumberland – exciting right?! With a whopping 300 entries we had a tough time choosing the winners, but we’re thrilled to announce that Gable and Grain has won our grand prize. Congratulations!
As part of the competition we also offered up five runner-up spots, each receiving £100 in print. Shortlisting from such a huge list of high quality entries was pain-staking, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that took part.

Gable & Grain (winner)
When it came to choosing the grand prize winner for our competition, Gina at Gable and Grain simply ticked all the boxes for us. From bespoke door hangers to stunning Wedding Invitation suites, Gina’s variety of stationery designs translate the traditional craftsmanship of flower pressing onto paper. The result is a truly unique array of prints, finished with stunning hand-foiled effects.
Gina believes that your Wedding Stationery should be the most special piece of print that you’ll ever lay eyes on, and we couldn’t agree more. So we’re unbelievably excited to invite her to visit our factory in 2023 to see her print come to life.
Bird House 197
George and Joshua at Bird House 197 have a very special place in our hearts, and are the first of our runner-ups. Alternative Wedding Stationery with a twist, their incredible designs are a unique take on spirituality, and explore a range tarot card themes with stunning Digital Foil accents.
We’re thrilled to have been part of their print journey for over 4 years, and look forward to seeing what they achieve in 2023. Well done guys!
Charis Raine Illustration
Our next runner-up was the fabulous Charis Raine Illustration, who submitted this stunning Thumb Cut Calendar as part of her entry. Offering everything from Greeting Cards, to Art Prints, we loved how the themes of folklore and landscapes are emulated throughout her entire range.
Working from her tiny studio in York, we couldn’t be more thrilled to feature her in our final line-up of entries.
Em Hyett
Our third runner-up was the wonderful Em Hyett. Em started painting in lockdown and creates stunning Posters depicting areas of the nation’s capitol. From Battersea Power Station to Neal’s Yard in Covent Garden, her incredible use of colour palettes is something to behold.
We’re all for championing small businesses and love seeing new creatives flourish. So why not show your support and give Em a follow right here!
Little Robin Education
Our education customers do incredible things with print, and the fourth feature in our runner-up list is Jenny at Little Robin Education. Jenny is revolutionising science and nature education through the power of print. From identification flash cards to activity booklets and magazines.
Her mission statement is ‘To teach as many children as possible the joys of the species on planet Earth‘, which we think is a wonderful sentiment in this day and age. Congratulations Jenny!
Maja Smend Photography
We love a bit of photography here at Printed.com, and this stunning entry from Maja Spend Photography really caught our eye. Specialising in food photography, Maja has worked with some incredible brands including The Biscuiteers, Waitrose and even Joe Wicks!
The above photograph was used as her Christmas Card design this year, and was printed on an A6 Greeting Card with our textured Gesso paper stock. We loved the organic florals and moody lighting used to capture this still life.
And that’s a wrap on our Big Proudly Printed Competition! A huge thank you again to everyone that entered a design. We absolutely love seeing your work. Don’t forget that even though the competition is over, you still have the chance to win £100 in print every month by tagging us with the hashtag #ProudlyPrinted.
See you in 2023!
