Award winning wedding stationers on entering The Wedding Industry Awards

Recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry, The Wedding Industry Awards national finalists for Wedding Stationer of the Year have been selected, region by region. We couldn’t wait to find out all about them, so here’s a quick word or two from them on why they entered.

North West

Award Winning Wedding Stationers TWIA 2016: The Foil Invite Company

Wendy Lewis, Creative Director, The Foil Invite Company:

“The last year has seen big changes at The Foil Invite Company. We’ve gone from a team of two to a team of five and have moved to a professional studio and showroom in Chester city centre. We believe our business has grown because of our dedication to the highest levels of customer service and product quality. We entered The Wedding Industry Awards in the hope that the brides and grooms we’ve worked with would agree. We have been overwhelmed with the positive response and are extremely grateful that so many couples took the time to vote for us. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be part of the preparations for any wedding day and we really do put our utmost care into every piece of print that leaves our studio.”

North East

Phylecia Sutherland, Creative Director & Letterpress Printer, Phylecia Sutherland:

“I am honoured and proud to have been awarded for the second year Best Wedding Stationery in the North East. To be recognised in these awards is such an achievement because we are judged solely on our work for the past year and only clients can vote, rather than a popular vote. Being recognised for my work through The Wedding Industry Awards gives future clients confidence when choosing me as their stationer as well as opened up some amazing business collaborations.”

East Midlands

Award Winning Wedding Stationers TWIA 2016: Loveli Lianne Taylor

Lianne Taylor, Creative Director & Founder, Loveli:

“I entered The Wedding Industry Awards because from my experience winning last year I saw the value of having the ‘badge of honour’ to use across my marketing and being listed on their website. The wedding market is so competitive and to win The Wedding Industry Awards gives potential couples the peace of mind that they are booking with a trusted supplier with a proven past record in the market.

“It was amazing to win the award for the second year running and so nice to actually be there on the night this time to collect my award. The wedding industry is a really lovely environment to work in and it really does feel like one big supportive family at events like this. The award means a lot as it is voted for primarily by couples I have worked with in the previous year and to think they took the time to fill in the voting form and leave their feedback means the world.”

West Midlands

Award Winning Wedding Stationers TWIA 2016: Jen Tippett, Owner & Designer, Mary Loves Bob

Jen Tippett, Owner & Designer, Mary Loves Bob:

“This is the third year I’ve entered The Wedding Industry Awards and I’m so proud to say that I’ve won my regional category each time. It’s really rewarding to be recognised by other industry professionals and I feel an enormous sense of achievement.  I choose to enter the awards as it’s a fantastic way to promote my business and it’s a great way to meet other suppliers too.”

South West

Award Winning Wedding Stationers TWIA 2016: Casey Blackmore, Owner & Creator, Oyster & Pearl Design

Casey Blackmore, Owner & Creator, Oyster & Pearl Design:

“I entered the awards last year purely for the experience of taking part. Not for a second did I think I would win. This year though, I felt I owed it to myself to enter again as the previous winner, again not thinking for a moment that I would win but because I think it’s really important to show your support to awards such as these, and it is also a great way to build connections within the industry at the same time. Since winning last year I have met so many lovely people so this year I was just looking forward to seeing them again on the night. Being self-employed it can be quite lonely at times and The Wedding Industry Awards is a great opportunity to bring everyone together and a chance to support and celebrate each other’s successes. I think it’s fantastic.

“Winning has been fantastic for my business; so many of my clients found me by way of The Wedding Industry Awards, either directly from The Wedding Industry Awards website or through the publicity that came with winning. I also think that having the regional winner badge displayed on my website brings credibility and inspires confidence to anyone considering working with me.”

London & Southeast

Award Winning Wedding Stationers TWIA 2016: Katie Diacon, Director, Eagle Eyed Bride

Katie Diacon, Director, Eagle Eyed Bride:

“To say that we’re delighted to be picked as Regional Winners for London and the South-East is an understatement –  we’re over the moon! To stand on stage and collect the award standing shoulder-to-shoulder with printed.com was the icing on the cake! We went into the evening with no expectations as the competition was quite stiff. Congratulations to everyone who made it to the regional finals and thank you. You made it a really fun event, we made lots of new industry buddies AND came home with an awards and a chance of winning the nationals in January. It was a fantastic and memorable night.”

Also a national finalist, representing the east of England, is Candy Floss Creations

The national final takes place on 12th January at Café de Paris and will announce the winners of all 26 award categories. Visit www.the-wedding-industry-awards.co.uk to find out more.
