Custom packaging inserts – inspiration from our customers
Your orders are wrapped and your Address Labels are firmly stuck on. There is just one thing missing… packaging inserts!
Neatly slipped inside your orders before shipping, custom packaging inserts are a powerful way to boost your marketing post-delivery. As with any small business, making sure your customers have a positive and memorable experience with your brand is super important (especially if it is their first purchase).
Whether it’s a thank you card, product care Leaflet or Business Card – these small details can really make a difference when it comes to the unboxing experience.
We’ve showcased some of our favourite recent customer creations below to help inspire your own creative inserts.
Powerful Paper Co
Powerful packaging alert from the Powerful Paper Co! This new start-up business have really hit the ground running and totally wowed us with their packaging know-how. From colour palettes to textures, there is nothing about this parcel that doesn’t make us want to tear it open. Coupled with Branded Stickers and a Postcard insert detailing news about their new venture, it’s a great example of how to create standout on the doormat.
Art By Chlo
With hundreds of orders going out over the festive period, it’s important to let your brand shine through. A simple way of doing this is to get a little personal, as shown in this packaged order from Art By Chlo. Her Flyer insert doubles up as both a thank you message and a care guide for her products.
Topped off with not one but TWO Business Cards, this ensures that the customer has a spare to share with friends and family. So if you can, including a small handful of these in your orders is a good idea to help grow your customer base.
Alice Catteau
From one Business Card to the next! These tiny pocket-sized prints have a big job: conveying everything from the look of your brand to essential contact information. We love this design by Alice Catteau, as it feels like its own mini work of art. Business Cards can often been seen as a ‘throwaway’ item- so taking the time to craft something eye-catching and emotive is key. It can mean the difference between it ending up in the bin or on someone’s noticeboard!
Proper Good Prints
Postcards with passion! These humble rectangles have become so much more than a vacation brag platform. Many creative businesses print Postcards to sell, but they can also be great packaging inserts for clothing, jewellery, food and drink items and more.
These loud and proud designs by Abbie of Proper Good Prints are included with every customer order and are a lovely way to say thank you. What’s more these items can be re-gifted and shared with others, increasing the exposure of Abbie’s brand which sits subtly at the bottom of the design. Genius!
Elba Able
There really is no one way to create a packaging insert. They can be minimalist and soft or bold and bright like these thank you cards designed by Elba Able. Created for Juliet Gunn’s crocheting business, the vivid colours echo the often vibrant hues used in her crafts with her own unique crocheted lamp the focal point of the whole design.
If there’s something really unique about your brand, your packaging inserts and e-commerce print are the perfect place to showcase it. From your top selling product to your company ethos, finding ways to infuse these details in your print is a great way to make a lasting impression.
What Sarah Designs
Who’s feeling hungry? After looking at these tasty thank you cards designed by What Sarah Designs, we certainly are! Created for Maisie’s Cakes & Bakes, the repeated pattern really brings the logo to life. Topped off with a link to follow the business on Instagram this is a great example of how to ace packaging inserts.
To take this even further, you could ask for your customers to share photos of your products to their social channels using your branded hashtag. This can be really effective, especially if your business is food-based (because who doesn’t share a photo of their sweet treats on Instagram?!)
Georgie’s Creative Side
We love a matching stationery suite, and this collection from Georgie’s Creative Side is a great example of how to get started on yours. From Compliment Slips and Business Cards, to Round and Rectangular Stickers– Georgia features her own illustrations across the board, reflecting her brand’s personality throughout.
Packaging inserts aren’t one size fits all. In fact, they can be any shape or size, so just be sure choose a design that reflects your business or service. Whether that’s leaving space to handwrite a note or Die Cutting your own unique shape. See how creative you can get! And don’t forget to tag us in your designs using #ProudlyPrinted.
