How to create standout Wedding stationery – 5 steps to success
For over seven years, we’ve been working with closely with Wedding Stationers to create the most comprehensive wedding print collection around. With everything you need to create the perfect big day, including 21 fully customisable print products across a range of 19 paper stocks – including magnetic for your Save the Dates – it’s easy to find what you need, fast. And, the icing on the (wedding) cake? You can add luxury metallic Foil too – in not one, not two, but six shiny shades! Here all the tips you need for Wedding Stationery success.
But that’s enough of the why – let’s get to the how!
Step 1:
Decide on the theme
Most clients and brides will have a pretty good idea of what they want – it’s your job to bring it to life! So start by deciding on your colours and the additions that’ll help really cement the theme. Perhaps it’s a kind of flower or pattern or monogram to be incorporated.
Step 2:
Decide on the paper stock
It might seem odd to think about your paper so early on, but trust us when we say that it can make all the difference. For example, a vintage themed wedding stationery suite printed on one of our luxury textured stocks like Nettuno, Aqcuerello or Fresco Gesso, will have a far more authentic feel than printing on a shimmer stock like Pearl Oyster or Pearl Polar. Don’t limit yourself to offering just one though! Think about how the different elements of a suite will work together. Perhaps you’re thinking textured Invitations in a Kraft envelope, bound together with a Belly Band? If you’re not sure where to start, get a feel for what’s on offer with a free Wedding Collection sample pack. You can order yours here. Not only will it help you make a decision, they’re great for keeping handy and showing to customers and clients.
Step 3:
Create your mock ups and sketches
If you’re creating a complex design, it’s sometimes easier to create your elements separately – either by hand, or using design software. If you’re creating more than just one piece of stationery, you’ll want to make sure that you can transfer these elements quickly and easily across each piece of print.
Step 4:
Piecing it all together
To make sure you get your print to the presses without a hitch, we provide free downloadable templates for all of our print products. They’ve got your bleed and safe areas all marked out, so all you have to do is download yours and start creating!
Step 5:
Saving time with personalisation
Altering designs time and time again to accommodate everyone’s names can a slow and painful process. Here at Printed.com we’re all about easy ordering and fast print, so we came up with a way to do it all for you. Just upload the guest list in any font and we’ll populate the print with up to 200 sets of names. Just make sure every name appears exactly as you want it to before you upload. If you’re looking to personalise Envelopes, you can do that too! You’ll follow the same rules, just provide a PDF with your custom text fields (like name, address line 1, etc.) and a csv. template with your list of entries and we’ll do the rest. Easy!
